MIPCOM hosts the world’s top TV and digital content executives each year in Cannes. NBCUniversal asked Saynor Events to produce a launch event to generate sales of their new format series ‘Songland’.

The show gives undiscovered songwriters the chance to pitch their songs to chart-topping music producers and superstar recording artists. The Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder are executive producers.


Our concept was to create an exclusive ‘Audience with’ Dave Stewart and Ryan Tedder, including an acoustic performance of some of the biggest tracks they’ve written during their careers.

The Saynor Events team transformed a conference room at the iconic Majestic Hotel into a recording studio. Framed guitars, gold discs, plentiful martinis and informal seating, grouped around a low stage, gave an intimate members’ club feel. 

After an introduction from NBC Universal executives and a screening of the promo, the artists took to the stage to perform their sets and tell the stories behind the songs.

The event proved one of the most coveted invitations at MIPCOM, generating significant sales interest amongst key international broadcasters.
