Bringing a brand to life for DreamWorks

DreamWorks were sponsoring the MIP Junior Closing Night Party in Cannes and asked Saynor Events to create a brand showcase for their animated television show, ‘Where’s Waldo?’ They also wanted to mark DreamWorks TV’s 5th Anniversary.
Hosts and hostesses dressed in the famous red and white striped ‘Where’s Waldo?’ tops greeted guests at the red-carpet entrance on the Croisette. And inside we transformed the Carlton Hotel marquee into a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ immersive experience.
The space was divided into different destination zones with large scale prints of graphics of scenes from the show each with a hidden Waldo inside the image for guests to spot. We brought those graphics to life with props and styling to create 3D scenes, so guests felt they had entered Waldo’s world. Selfie mirrors and ‘Where’s Waldo?’ hats and glasses encouraged fun interactions and photo opportunities.
The 5th year anniversary deserved special recognition and we commissioned a cake artist to create a huge cake featuring the key characters from all the DreamWorks shows. This provided a great celebratory moment as the company executive cut the cake and thanked guests for their support.
